First, let me say that I blame Finley and Violet for this. Now that we have that out of the way let's continue.
When I bought my first property in New Babbage, I bought and installed a 7Seas fishing system and got busy with it. I love fishing IRL and I loved fishing in SL as well. I fished for hours on end for the first couple of weeks that we had it. Then, we started becoming a lot more business minded and involved in several RP plots and such. We moved from Babbage to Caledon, where there was no water on our property. So, I put the 7Seas stuff away and it sat forgotten in my inventory. Forgotten until the other night that is.
I got to talking with Rip Wirefly about the fishing system and he thought the idea sounded fun, so we installed it and then found out that we needed an update, so we removed the old girl and put in the new one. Rip, Violet, and I started fishing right away and had a great time. Greg Merryman happened by and joined our fish hunting fray. Violet had to run off and we were joined by Kaylee Frye soon after.
We wound up fishing till almost 3:00 am or so and had an awesome time picking on each other and trying to get some special gear and such built for each other from those rare and soggy blueprints we fished up.
We had discussed the Armada Breakaway sim earlier and were saying that Rip and Greg's docks should be the official Armada consulate area, since it was such an industrial style area with plenty of smoke and soot. Rip mentioned that he had thought the area was referred to as "Iron Bay". That was somewhat ironic (or maybe just coincidental) since Iron Bay is an area in New Crobuzon. Since Armada Breakaway was inspired by China Miéville's work, I thought it fit quite well that the place we were talking about had a name from the same series of books.
So, if you should find yourself in need of a relaxing or even just fun fishing trip, drop by Iron Bay in New Babbage or the park in Armada Breakaway. You might even run into one of us!

Just About that time!
Hello there my wonderful readers! I just wanted to let you know that I am in the process of cleaning up around here. I will be working on a bit of a redesign for this blog, and will be cleaning up a lot of incorrect SLurls and several other things that I am not overly fond of. If you have any suggestions, please let me know!

Dragon*Con and other things
So, last weekend, the crew of Seraph Enterprises all packed their gear and headed to Atlanta, Georgia for Dragon Con. Captain Mael, Chef Gregoe, and I had on absolutely amazing time. Not only did we get to meet several celebrities, such as Sean Astin, Gigi Edgely, and Virginia Hey, we also met the crew of the rather famous Ophelia. That's right folks, we met Abney Park! All three of us got our flight wings and autographed CD's. Captain Mael, in a fit of jealousy over Captain Robert's rather spiffing hair, attacked and bested the crew of The Ophelia as the ever lovely Finn Von Claret swilled rum and even appeared to help our good Captain out a bit. Thank goes to Abney Park for being such awesome folks, we really do love you guys!
Our fun did not end there by any means. We had a blast at the Abney Park concert as well. We three did get a lot of drinking done and had a great time on the balcony doing some drunken people watching. As a notice to our friends and family (both in SL and IRL), we WILL be attending Dragon Con next year as well. We intend on getting a goodly sized room as well, so contact us a bit closer to the actual con date for more details. Don't worry, I will be posting reminders for that too.
In a bit of other news, the Seraph Enterprises main store and abode, has moved! We are now located on Caledon Brigadoon. Normally, this is where I would slap a SLURL up for your teleportation needs, but the beauty of it is, I don't need to! All you have to do is type "Caledon Brigadoon" into SL's search area and teleport. We are located directly beside the Tele-Hub! The building has been redesigned yet again, and we now have our airship docked right on the roof for you to explore! Please come visit us any time and say hello.

Seraph Enterprises
Well friends and neighbors, it is high time we announced our location properly. A lot of you already know that Captain Maelstorme Smythe, Gregoe Zlatkis, Earl Oryl, and I have recently purchased a decent sized parcel of land over in the Babbage Canals. We have been hard at work on dragging the wreck of our fair airship, the Seraph, up out of the
“But Doc, what are you rogues doing in that place of yours?” you might ask. Well, let me answer you as best as I can. We will be designing and building several personal protection devices (this means weapons folks), we’ll have several airships and vehicles available for purchase, as well as several nice wall hangings and oddities. We also have a three target shooting range downstairs to test out your new, or old, weapons.
If none of that interests you, then by all means drop by our lovely 7Seas powered fishing dock. You could even relax in our very plush smoking lounge or have a sit down in Gregoe’s Upper Deck Café, where we have traditional Greek, Irish, and eventually English fare. Not hungry, well then, help yourself to a glass of Port or hot coffee and tea.
Please feel free to contact any of us for details or conversation.
